Description: Piece captures both the Afro and Dominican heritage of colour and dance. Females in movement was among Earl’s favourite subjects to capture. The piece features layers of vibrant colours with a heavy undertone of green, adding to it’s uniqueness. The artist experimented with not only the types and methods of applying paint but also the medium upon which the masterpieces were lain. Hence, in addition to traditional canvas, carboard, wood, paper and other materials were used. In this case cardboard is the medium. This gave the benefit of a more sturdy structure which could more easily accommodate many layers.
